Edward Snowden meets Arundhati Roy and John Cusack: "He was small and lithe, like a house cat" When I think back on the meeting in the Moscow Ritz-Carlton, the memory that flashes up first in my mind is an image of Daniel Ellsberg. Dan, after all those hours of talking, lying back on the bed, Christlike, with his arms flung open, weeping for what the United States has turned into -- a country whose "best people" must either go to prison or into exile.

a few "pre-revolutionary" thoughts I had Few of us dreamed that we would see you, the people of the United States on our side, trying to do this in the heart of Empire. I don't know how to communicate the enormity of what this means. This struggle has re-awakened our imagination. We are not fighting to just tinker with reforming a system that needs to be replaced.
