Employed in the South African oil industry for 40 yrs of which 33 yrs with BP and the past 7 years with H&R Wasag of Germany. Primarily in the technical dept developing new products for the automotive and industrial markets. Specialised in agricultural spray oils but also in rubber process oils and base oils. Travelled extensively thru out sub Saharan Africa on behalf of my employer looking after the needs of our African associates. Visited the UK and others in western Europe on a number of occasions during my stay with BP.
