I have a masters in business administration from Brigham Young University. I also have undergraduate degrees in chemistry and Portuguese.
I worked in finance, long-range planning and budgeting in the oil industry for nearly 20 years. For 13 years I was the executive director for a convalescent and rehab hospital.
My wife and I have owned and operated several businesses, including an assisted living facility, fitness center, a family style restaurant and an environmental cleanup company. Two of these businesses were successful and two were not.
I have served on a number of boards of directors, including the Arizona Health Care Association, a local Chamber of Commerce, the Eastern Arizona Health Education Center, the Eastern Arizona Employment Center, a battered women's shelter, and the local Boy Scout District Executive committee.
I have been married for forty years and never divorced. I actively serve in my church and in my community.
