I am a substitute teacher in city public schools. I served as chief of staff to a local council member, worked on and launched many community efforts, including founding the local chapter of the John School commended by the CDC,police department, university, and DA's office. I belong to the local chapter of Progressive Democrats of America, and Physicians for a National Health Program. I ran for local office as a reform Democrat with an army of community activists, refused both party endorsements, and soundly defeated by the entrenched political machine.
