Gun Control Needs to Start with the Police! A largely unexamined problem in discussions of gun violence is the role police pay in contributing to the overall culture of violence in the US. Police are 20 times more likely to commit a fatal shooting than the average person. As we look to address gun control, we should seriously consider the social consequences of arming police.
