Mr. Usman Ghani is a research scholar at Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI), Pakistan. He holds M.Phil degree in Defence and Strategic Studies and M.Sc in Political Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. Before joining IPRI, Usman has worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). He has also worked as a Researcher/Coordinator at Dawn News TV, from 2008 to 2010, and has previously worked as a Research Analyst at the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR). His areas of interests are China, Asia-Pacific, Afghanistan, deradicalization and nuclear studies. He is also a PhD student in the Strategic and Nuclear Studies department at the National Defence University, Islamabad. Usman contributes various articles on matters of national and international importance in various newspapers.
