I grew up in an Roman Catholic orphanage. This started my religious journey. I left the orphanage to live with my foster parents. They were In fact my aunt and uncle. They also adopted my elder brother and two step sisters. My step sisters were from my mom but different father. We were this so called family. The business was a hotel and that was what our parents were planning for our future. I was the only one of the boys that did not have a reason not to do military training. So that call up made the break away from home for me to see the big world. And I was not ready for it. But it did make me look to God for help! I was given a present by a distant aunt who was a bible reading Christian. She asked not to open it until I was in the military camp. I remember these words while taking the present from her 'this is the best gift you have ever received'. On opening it. It was a bible. I started reading it and was surprised that it was like reading a history book. I have never stopped reading it. The confidence it gave was wonderful. I never had that before and looking back it really was like a blue print and even more. Well to cut a long story short. I have a lovely family and because of religion or rather correctly saying a religious spirit I did make terrible decisions but I have learnt that God does not give up on us, but is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. So now I love people and respect what they have and am not closed minded that I will not listen to them. The bible helps me choose to understand there thinking and therefore helps to be proactive and not passive. When others want to view their options or experiences freely are they also including others to also have that same freedom that they want to have too? None of us are perfect that is clear from the blue print that speaks to all who need help. So,you can observe, I am a teacher and that is now my profession and not in my own country but in a foreign country teaching English to kindergarten and grade ones. My outlook summary words will go like this 'give me a child with no direction and I can be his helper' So good families are very important and that means they need a father and a mother to be this. It is as simple as that, but with a blue print too!! And if this was not true I would not be able to write this. May what I have written be an encouragement to you the reader. Hendry
