I am the author of the critically acclaimed book, Is it Organic? and I work tirelessly in defense of modern, science-based food production. I support many of the principles of organic farming. In fact, I grew up on an organic grain farm in Saskatchewan and worked for 5 years as a USDA-contract organic inspector, inspecting over 500 organic farms and processing facilities and earning HACCP-auditor accreditation. But I left that career when I realized there was no appetite to eliminate fraud and improve upon the quality of organic food.
