A child (1962), a farmer, a miner and industrialist laborer. A student (80s), a traveler, a community servant (90s), briefly white collared (2000), once a husband and primary parent (1990-2013). I promise, there is nothing special about me. I simply grew up. One grey haired, white man, with strong genetic ties to Germany, preserved by xenophobic settlement of Germans who left Germany for Russia in the 1700s and ended up in on a huge land grab in the Canadian prairies. Studied at University of Saskatchewan towards a liberal Arts degree. Settled with understanding of Economics, Political Administration and Philosophy (basically Theology). I was vaguely involve in a conservative student union body, and dabbled in right of center Liberal Party of Canada politics. I moved to Swaziland (1989)and pretended to work. I got about a lot. I was about when Mandela was released. On my way home, I bummed around Munich when the Wall came down. I worked on some major urban streets under Ontario Government Health Promotion funding. I worked out of a large, modern Public Health Care facility. I ripped up my NDP membership when Bob Rae ripped up the social contract. I tried activism, and perhaps I am still not finished. I associated with nonmilitant International Socialists; who still are, even if they've been a bit lapse on the membership fees. I had a brief connections to a legitimate active Anarchist group, though I never made their mailing list. I pretty much abandoned all of it for a short life in downtown Rome,(94-98, and 2000) next to a very conservative wing of the UN. I did a few more journeys to Africa. I spent the last 12 years raising some decent kids on a lush island where it rarely snows and always rains. I eat well. I vote NDP.
