IS IT TIME FOR US SANCTIONS ON ISRAEL? Peace only happens when leaders act responsibly, embrace equality, trust and respect the rights of others. Myopic views are major barriers to peace. Unless those outside the direct negotiations can bring the parties to a closer understanding, peace becomes an elusive dream. 19 months of poximity talks have not produced serious improvement in the present peace dynamics. Perhaps it is time to consider US sanctions on Israel.

Tora Bora: Deceptions, falsehoods and politics The Senate Foreign Intelligence Report on Tora Bora provides a good chance to look at the Afghan war and events preceeding the Iraq war. The mistakes were huge and so was the very deliberate political effort to avoid accountability for them. Both the mistakes and the failure to demand accountability can be traced to a political process that placed party ahead of responsibility to the public it is suppose to serve.

US Congress and Middle East Conflict Peace requires understanding, justice, equality and trust. The US Congress has embraced a lopsided perspective of Middle East problems that is detrimental to peace and encourages greater distrust, inequality and hate between Israeli and Palestinian people. The consequences of Congressional actions will likely lead to US failure to achieve peace and may well produce acts of terrorism for many years to come.

American Investment There has been a continual conflict between "capitalism" and "socialism" in the US for over 100 years. These two dichotomous views of society have been in constant conflict and are reflected in the typical extremes one finds among the left and right wing thinkers and pundits of this country. I now suggest how these views could be integrated into a more unifying view of a far more efficient, fair opportunistic society.
