Wolf Blitzer and Paula Zahn Are Big Fat Stinking Media Whores; They Try to Make Good Kerry News Look Weak

Becky Burgwin

Tonight on CNN Wolf Blitzer (who I never watch) started off his show by saying that he will have a "CNN exclusive, first heard on this show of amazing poll numbers from Ohio that will just knock your socks off. Stay tuned for this earthshaking news." First commercial" "Coming up, astounding news from Ohio one of the most important states in this election. Amazing numbers that you will hear first on our show." All the commercials"ditto, ditto. Finally at 5:56""Breaking news on the 2004 election poll in Ohio. Ohio has picked the winning president in every election but two. Now to Paula Zahn in Ohio." " Well, yes, Wolf, I do have some very important poll numbers from the state that is one of the most important prizes in this year's election, and you'll hear it first right here on CNN. The stupendously important poll numbers from Ohio show John Kerry with 53%, George Bush at 43% and undecided at 6%. (Oh-my-god"I'm jumping up and down.) Hang on. Now we have another set of numbers up. "However, Wolf, our 'what-if-the-election-took-place-today poll' (?????), shows Kerry at 48% and Bush at 46%. So you can see Wolf, it's neck and neck up here in Ohio." Wait a minute, neck and neck? Didn't you just show numbers that said that John Kerry has a TEN POINT LEAD over George Bush in Ohio? That's double digits, Paula. Where did they go? What if the election were held today? Is there any possibility that these numbers might reflect the fact that people who are planning to vote for Kerry aren't registered to vote yet? And why in the world do they matter when the election is over two months away? The words, "John Kerry has a 10 point lead over George Bush in Ohio," were never uttered on this broadcast. The words, "The candidates are running neck and neck," were. And why is it breaking news if all you're going to say is, "Kerry and Bush are running neck and neck."  What good is a ten-point lead if no one talks about it? Where are the media whores when you need 'em? On CNN.

But I digress.

JOHN KERRY HAS A TEN POINT LEAD OVER BUSH IN OHIO !!

This is extraordinarily good news that I can guarantee you, you won't hear first on Wolf Blitzer.
