Trump’s America: A Glimmer of Understanding Last month, I read 2 books by Paul Williams that synthesized history for me. The 1st, Operation Gladio, filled gaps in my understanding of how evil became entrenched in our modern world. The 2d, The Killing of Uncle Sam, supplied a historical background for the characters I read about in the first. But while Gladio just left me with a sense of immense evil, Uncle Sam ends with some unexpected political prescriptions.
