Modi on Andhra Pradesh, From ImagesAttr

Why Lutyens Media has blanked Modi on "AP Special Status"? As of now, 11 states in India have the Special Category Status (SCS): Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalya, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Mizoram. Under SCS, 90 per cent of funds is allocated as grants which need not be paid back. Such states also enjoy concessions in excise and custom duties, income tax rates and corporate tax rates.

Rahul needs to know of Mahatma Gandhi & Capitalists For all his piety, love and reliance on non-violence and ahimsa, it's one of history's indisputable facts that Mahatma Gandhi relied heavily on Indian capitalists' funds to keep the Congress going in pre-Independence days. Today, when we hear Rahul Gandhi shriek "Suit-Boot ki sarkar" as a barb to Narendra Modi and his NDA government, it seems so improper.

Padmavati: History as per se Times of India We all know history is written by the conquerors. You write what you want to be written. You hide what you want to hide. That's the method every historian adopts. Surely, our despicable English mainstream media does. India treats its history not as "Itihasa." It's always people's history, not kings'.

Indian Muslims: Look at Congress manifesto to know if they stand by you Congress had nominated only 27 Muslim candidates in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections-a paltry 5.6 per cent of its total candidates. This wasn't true only of the remote-controlled Manmohan Singh's government of UPA 1 and UPA 2 between 2004-2014 - even under Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi very few Muslim candidates were nominated by the Congress in Lok Sabha polls.

Gambhir isn't stopping at CRPF aid alone Gautam Gambhir, the India cricketer, has decided to bear the expenses of studies of all the children of 25 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who were killed by Maoists in a deadly attack in Sukma, Chattisgarh on Monday.

Aadhaar case: Why Express blanked police statement? India Express, the pallbearer, err... flagbearer of Indian mainstream media, for two days running on its front page (there would be more front pages in coming days, be assured) has gravely stated (in its editorial) how the authorities are browbeating the journalists of this country. A few questions are in order on the matter of Aadhaar story and the concerned newspaper.

Indian Express begins 2019 with Mrinal Pande's bigotry There is another irony that is not lost on readers of Indian Express. The day it chose to make a lead headline of the opposition's reject of the Triple Talaq Bill in the Rajya Sabha, Ms Pande extols Pt Nehru for the good work he has done in "incremental" changes in the society. Is his party Congress stalling or going for "incremental" change in the status of women in the society?

Indians can't leave India to their politicians or professors India can go wrong any moment. It could be an ecological disaster or a hostile nuclear-armed neighbourhood. It could be the lava of a largely young nation which frustrated at lack of jobs or coma of our judiciary could bury us all under a thick carpet of violence and breakdown. We surely can't leave it to our politicians and professors.

Modi, "triple talaq" and a brazen Congress As per the 2011 Census data, 13.5 Muslim women are married before they turn 15. The ratio rises to nearly 50 per cent for Muslim women getting married between 14-19 years. The child thus "transferred" at a fragile age is unlikely to resist the patriarchal order, from the one of father to the new one of husband. Such a "captive" audience would do as the overarching men in the family would ask them to do. Love, set and match.

Mr Sibal, you ain't fooling anyone! Kapil Sibal, a former Telecom minister, has called upon "Asli Hindus" to shun Hindutva, which he believes is no better than Hindu fundamentalism. Sibal surely has another thought coming.

Spot the link between Amnesty and Ramya After Amnesty International was booked for sedition by Karnataka government in India, all hell broke loose. The media portrayed it as another assault on freedom of speech. Close on its heels, actress-cum-politician Ramya visited Pakistan and said "it's not all hell." Again a sedition case was filed. In neither of the instances, ruling party BjP was involved.

Congress and its Soz and Karra; and why India is worried Congress may yet take action against Soz or slap the wrist of Azad. But discerners see no sign from them on standing next to the brave and beleaguered Indian army. Their human rights begin and end on Kathua; there is never a word of praise when our jawans gun down a terrorist; never a drop of tear for their martyrdom or wailing widows.

Russia brings Taliban on table as India observes Russia secured a huge diplomatic victory when it got Taliban to turn up at a meeting on Afghanistan, attended by no less than a dozen countries, in Moscow last Friday. This was the first time Taliban were face to face with the other side, the government-appointed Afghanistan High Peace Council, in the "Moscow Format" multilateral meeting which lasted less than three hours and was only aimed at kick-starting peace talks.

MSM Fake News Monitor: Express on Bhagwat Indian Express today had a four-deck headline on its front page: "Farmers, small business must not suffer, RSS chief tells govt" (Sub headline: Mixes praise for Modi with caution, seeks "new provisions" in Valley). On the parameters set out by Facebook, this is clearly a Fake News. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat never said the "small business" are suffering; and even if he thought so, he never addressed it to the government.

Ashutosh, check your facts on Hindutva There's been a persistent attempt to play on minorities fear and cast ruling BJP and their parent organisation, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as communal. Such propagandists have scant regard for facts and twist quotes to suit their agenda.

Rahul Gandhi now leaves Indian Muslims in lurch If I was an Indian Muslim, I would have a whole lot of questions today and certainly no answers. So far, I believed in the pictures of Rahul Gandhi, skull cap and all, in Iftar party breaking his fast, so to speak, at sunset during a day in the Ramadan month. His remarks that Congress is a party of Muslims. Now, I read he said Tuesday in Indore that his party is one of Hinduism.

Express surpasses itself in Sibal's defence Indian Express' Ayodhya fantasy-of-a-story has so many loose ends that its multiple writers (the creditline is: Express News Service) could win world championship in "Fake News" but to pass them off as journalists is only possible in most creepy and insane mental asylum.
Citizens defied Supreme Court on firecrackers, From ImagesAttr

Deepawali defiance has a grave message Deepawali is second to none in a Hindu calendar, carrying an ethical lesson on good lording over the evil in the form of their supreme deity, Ram. Tragically, the news in newspapers is about seizing of firecrackers, violations and arrests, with the same sense of foreboding as bomb-attacks in our cities, seizures of cache of rifles, machine guns or handcuffed terrorists. A classic case of solutions being worse than the malady.

Bhagwat signals a tectonic shift for RSS All these years, Sangh grew and grew, preferring action for words, which allowed a cottage industry of dishonest politicians, academicians and journalists to grow fat on a global agenda of fundamentalist Islamic and Christian forces--for these two religions alone want to prevail till the world comes to an end.

Biggest push for Muslims in independent India: Pay attention Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised "sabka vishwas(everyone's trust)"in his oath ceremony. Within a fortnight his government has announced 5-crore scholarships-50% reserved for girl students-over the next five years. There are "bridge courses" for drop-outs. Madarsa teachers are to be imparted modern, scientific training.
