To aid in this theory; imagine a metallic marble rolling on three curved lines in a set course. then attach a magnet on one end of the path and observe that it pulls the marble to its ending point.
You of course would not want to ride around in a metal marble, but a simple fix. a metallic line the runs around the sphere (consisting of two clear plastic waterproof balls) parallel to the bars that support its path.
The outer shell would spin like the marble. but the inner core would gain stability if between the layers it filled with a small amount of water like a level always keeping the rider/s level. When the ball comes to its destination and stops the two would line up appropriately and drain the water thus allowing a water tight door to open. a buffer can be used to remove any chance of a collision.
They can travel fast and at the same time harness the ability to absorb friction and power itself, this can be done by changing the water to be more like fluid in a battery holding a charge. the same fluid can be reused each time you enter the sphere. you can have micro- fibers attached to the outer layer running along the path to catch friction and generate more energy.
In our economy it would be more simple to just allow these spheres not to be owned individually. A much more economical approach would be like using an elevator. Take your turn or wait for the next one. Thus eliminating cars completely and the gas they use. Rather than fuel up which is growing more and more costly.
