How We Lose the Wars, yes LOSE THE WARS

Message Rafe Pilgrim
First this from Ann Jones:  "No one even thinks to ask the question: In the mighty battle lost, who exactly beat us?  Where exactly is the triumphant enemy?  Perhaps we should be relieved that the question is not being raised, because it's a hard one to answer.  Could it really have been the scattered jihadis of al-Qaeda and its wannabes?  Or the various modestly armed Sunni and Shiite minority insurgencies in Iraq, or their Pashtun equivalents in Afghanistan with their suicide bombers and low-tech roadside bombs?  Or was it something more basic, something having to do with a planet no longer amenable to imperial expeditions?  Did the local and global body politic simply and mysteriously spit us out as the distasteful thing we had become?  Or is it even possible, as Pogo once suggested, that in those distant, unwelcoming lands, we met the enemy and he was us?"
.

Yes, Pogo had it aright, so does Ann.
.
Now, we've lost the last 12 years of Our Wars and will lose the next (?) years of wars because we sop up the lies, never stop to adequately examine or even ask actually cogent questions of perverted leadership, and twice in this century actually re-elected treacherous leadership from either major party.  Then we sucked up the "Support Our Troops" scam (thereby submitting more of "Our Troops" to the slaughter), while lusting for partisan electoral "victory" with disregard of consequences, and falling for "lesser-evil" instead of examination and insistence of decency, waving flags instead of asking questions, and because we're glorious Christian crusaders slaying wretched Unbelievers, and Jews defending Israel from Islamic Zealots, and America defending its people and civilization from "terrorists" of whatever persuasion from whatever place.  And because we are the most politically naive people in the world, abysmally stupid with regard to our own best interests, while supporting the most treacherously slaughterous menace against humanity of this century, as Pogo said:  us.
.
Got it?  So much for the negative.  Now for the positive:  (1) Wake up and discharge the partisan charlatans and their pathetic apparatchiks and cheerleaders of both major parties, along with the banners and sloganeering.  (2)  Pursue DECENCY in our leadership, examine for it, insist upon it, recall and discharge any who do not perform to our expectations.  (3) Consider the best interests of humanity (the world's population) in our new politics.  And (4) thru (Infinity)  Pursue and insist upon DECENCY in our leadership.
.
Now do it, before the rest of the world decides to do us.

Leaving behind a treacherous government now addicted to perpetual war, its limitlessly greedy and power-lusting masters, as well as the retarded albeit smirky Republicans and their evermore clonish Democrat colleagues, a braindead electorate (more...)
