Care topic may require some accompanying reference material.
A
surprising number of people, even health care activists, have not found
out that top for-profit insurers have a massive and unacceptable
conflict-of-interest by owning billions of dollars of investments in
not just well-indicted Cigarette Manufacturers, but also in tobacco
pesticides, pesticides in general, military weapons contractors,
mountaintop removal coal mining, and on and on.
So here's some reference material about that---the first two links to material from Physicians for a National Health Program.
The next three are from the SEC---EDGAR database---where one with luck or
research skills can find out where for-profit insurers invest. It's
too bad, maybe tragic, that this incriminating evidence is not used
prominently to remove such insurers from our public health programs
