Going into the 7th Year of War

 

 

I am here to remember all the soldiers that have been lost in a war that did not have to be. We must remember the families of the lost and their grief.

Each pair of boots here represents a real person that loved and was loved. They were real ....not just names.

I am here to remember the wounded, physically and mentally, the hell they have gone through with their families, and the care that they did not get.

I am here to remember the 10 billion dollars a month that helped put our economy in the shape it's in.  If you do not have a family member involved in the service and you do not think that you are connected to the war, guess again.  Everyone, including you and your children, is going to pay for this folly.

My generation got caught up in a war of choice.  Many vets from Vietnam are still suffering from that war.  My son's generation is caught up in a war of choice.  Will we leave them suffering the rest of their lives?  I don't know.

I am here to remember that I have grandsons.  Will they have to be caught up in a war of choice later down the road?  Have we learned anything?  Have the politicians learned?  I have grave doubts at times.

I also say.. War No More.  Thank you.
