I got your number Bob Novak. Acc or ding to what you serve your guests in the Crossfire it is now a high m or al sin to speak against Ge or ge W. Bush, his war, his policies, his adolescent knack f or high drama, photo-op opp or tunities and remakes of WWII great-escape-movie-scenes of people trying to escape from the iron curtain or Nazi Germany.
Keep it up. You, and your right wing ideologues, and soon, if not already, it will be a crime against the constitution to speak the truth about a dishonest, power-and-control obsessed man named Ge or ge W. Bush who sits at the Oval Office because his father's friends put him there. Can you imagine it in America ? I mean, making it a crime to exercise your right to freedom of speech? The very right guaranteed by the very same constitution that the Founding Fathers auth or ed, giving you and giving me that precious right of freedom of speech.
It might be hard f or you to imagine it, seeing as it is that you exercise your right each time you sit in front of the CNN cameras. I mean, you certainly do make use of your right to free speech, but I'll be darn if you don't want to block people like Anne Lewis, Rep. F or d of Tennessee , Rep. Barney Frank and many others from exercising theirs. I suppose that we are lucky that Begala and Carville got your number too and that they bring some balance and prop or tion to your m or al high chair.
You demand that Hillary shut up about the truth as she sees it, asking of James Carville, in rather m or alistic tones, "wouldn't it have been better f or Hillary to stay home than f or her to go to Iraq to tell the troops about America's waning supp or t f or Bush's occupation of Iraq?" - a question intended, mostly, to inflame public opinion against Hillary since you know that Carville isn't going to fall a-gaga over your question. Why! Unrepentant sinner that she is, Hillary is using her first amendment right to free speech while in Iraq or in the United States, the same as you do from your high chair at the Crossfire!
I suppose this all makes you a great pundit, which, acc or ding to Webster's II, New Riverside Edition, means: a learned person, an auth or ity, or critic.
Critic. To offer criticism, you certainly do that on the show when you are there. Only right wing Republicans get the benefit of your Benediction and Absolution""regardless of the lies they've told or the sins they have committed. Perhaps this classifies you as an auth or ity on people's m or al behavi or ?
Although, I rather think that a learned person might, state facts as to why Hillary's telling the troops about America's waning supp or t f or Bush's occupation of Iraq is wrong, instead of going into the emotionally inflammat or y rhet or ic which you delight in serving the Crossfire audience at every blink of an eye.
I suppose that fact stating would get you into truth stating, and truth stating would get you into seeing things the same way Hillary sees them or very close to it - and heaven f or bid even if democracy and truth have to suffer. After all, why not adhere to the D or othy Walker pellet of wisdom, "Win at all cost but do not appear to want to win".
Funny. Hillary, the object of your censure, is a learned person who knows the constitution, the right to free speech given to her by said constitution, and the value of truth. What she may not be aware of, or perhaps she is, is how Ge or ge and his NKDV minister John Ashcroft, and people like yourself want to take this right away from her, giving her, thereby, all the m or e reasons why she should hold on to her right to free speech and to the exercise of it. Her silence would give voice to the Bush propaganda you serve. Democracy would lose""and if democracy loses, she would lose part of her self and so would the rest of us lose a part of ourselves.
Truth, and you must know this, is the element out of which decisions that stand the test of time are made" Ge or ge's decision to invade Iraq does not seem to be standing up to the test of time. You know it, twist as you may the truth about the fact, or intimidate as you may, anyone who exercises their thinking ability to see and state the truth.
A learned man knows that truth underlies every great play ever made, that truth is the fiber of great governments, of great administrations, and that it is the fiber out of which great human beings who make great presidents are made.
Truth is a rare commodity in the Bush administration, which is not surprising since truth appears to be a second, or third hand, devalued, commodity f or the Bush clan.
Bob Schieffer, a fellow broadcaster of yours turned pundit some times, can tell you that the journey into healing begins with a painful but truth telling diagnosis. The painful diagnosis of the Bush administration is that Ge or ge W. Bush is not good f or America , that he is not good f or w or ld peace, obsessed as he is with bullets, dynamite, war, and war making.
The painful diagnosis about the Bush administration is that it is creating an America of great divides, few friends, and greedy wealth which are eating away at the fabric of our jobs, our middle class, and our retirement system.
Truth empowers Hillary Clinton. Truth will empower the American people. That is why Ge or ge Bush, his King of Mean John Ashcroft, and his Faithful Prince of Darkness want to silence Hillary.
