Pornography in the Service of God/Bush

A porn star, Mary Carey, and her boss, Mark Kulkis, president of "Kiss Ass Pictures" were invited to our "family values" President's Dinner and Salute to Freedom on June 15th. It appears our president has "broadenedÂ" his horizons, pardon the pun.
But, not to be alarmed, Mary Carey, like Bush, says she is a Christian.
Mary also said she would like to party with Bush's daughters, they seem like they would be "fun,"
If you recall at the RNC, the twins said they were enjoying being young and irresponsible just like their dad had been young and irresponsible.
As has been made abundantly clear by all the GOP sex revelations lately Â"DadÂ" and the GOP donÂ't impose the restraints on themselves or their families that they insist on applying to we mere mortals and our offspring.

"It is Mary CareyÂ's dream to meet the President of the United States. Of course, itÂ's also her dream to have sex with Karl Rove, Bill OÂ'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Pat Buchanan, Alan Colmes, and one player from every NBA team. One of those dreams will come true tonight at the 2005 PresidentÂ's Dinner & Salute to Freedom; when George W. Bush sits down to break bread with 6,000 Republican boosters, Carey will be there.
Carey is accompanying her boss Mark Kulkis, president of Kick Ass Pictures, to the PresidentÂ's Dinner. How, exactly, did a porn king and his 36DD leading lady get themselves invited to a fundraiser for those holier-than-thou House Republicans?
The Republicans, Kulkis tells Radar, came to him. For publicity reasons he affixed his companyÂ's name to a pro-Republican ad in the Wall Street Journal, then received an invitation and paid for two $2,500 tickets. National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Carl Forti admitted as much to the AP and said, Â"Their money was donated to the NRCC. The NRCCÂ's job is to elect Republicans. WeÂ'll take that money and use it to elect more Republicans.Â" Sounds reasonable.
Except of course that BushÂ's base isnÂ't much impressed by reason, or by triple-X sex flicks. Pastor Kelly Boggs of the Valley Baptist Church in McMinnville, Oregon, wrote in the Baptist Press, Â"Thank you, Mr. Forti, for clearing things upÂ" If I understand the explanation correctly, economics trumps ethics. To put it another way, money talks Â-- even money gained by prostituting the glorious gift of sex Â-- and everything else walks. Â"

..."Kulkis sees the Republicans as the "pro-business" party, and points out that no group is more pro-business than pornographers. Their invitation and ultimate appearance at the 2005 President's Dinner has been the subject of serious debate within the mainstream media. Mark Kulkis and Mary Carey are willing to defend their positions as representatives of such a controversial industry."

CAREY: I had a great time. You know, Republicans can party almost as much as porn stars.
(LAUGHTER)
CAREY: I think they can drink just as much. There were some really drunk guys by the end of the night. I was getting propositions to have threesomes with wives or mistresses. I was offered money from oil tycoons! I mean, itÂ's pretty exciting. I didnÂ't take any money and I didnÂ't do any threesomes, but it was prettyÂ""I was just surprised. I thought everyone would be stuck up and no one was going to like me. And everyone loved me and got drunk and took pictures with me. So I want to keep going to Republican events. IÂ'm a fully converted Republican now.
OLBERMANN: Well, but did you do fund-raising of your own? And I mean that literally, in terms of your political campaign for next year.
CAREY: I actually did. I met this really nice guy from Ohio. And when I met him, I told himÂ""he asked me what I do, you know, because I had my little badge that said Mary. And I said I ran for governor of California. And he told me he has some rich friends whoÂ'd give me $10 million possibly towards the next campaign. And he introduced me to all his friends. And it turned out when they found out I was a porn star, his friendÂ's owns strip clubs, and theyÂ're going to book me to make appearances in the strip clubs. So I networked and made some jobsÂ""you know, some future job and work possibilities.
OLBERMANN: So thisÂ""this guy who was at the Republican fund-raiser last night, his sister owns a bunch of strip clubs?
CAREY: Yes. I actually met them at the cocktail party the first day. And they told me that, yes. And we actually called his sister, and theyÂ're probably going to book me at their strip clubs. And I actually met another guy who owns some famous magician. And they were talking about booking me in Japan for appearances. And he actually told me some funny things, like he has parties with congressmen, and if I could get some girls together, I just couldnÂ't talk about it...Â"
Bush has created God in his own image. His God has his morals: The ends justify the means. Unethical business deals are savvy. It is okay to become president even though the other guy got more votes. Running a campaign based almost entirely on Â"bearing false witnessÂ" and misrepresenting both your own accomplishments and your opponents positions is merely doing what it takes to get elected. Lying and cheating is just part of the game. And sending other peopleÂ's kids off to war because you want vicarious glory as a Â"war presidentÂ" and to enrich the coffers of your campaign contributors is A-OK Â- they should be honored to sacrifice their lives in GodÂ's/BushÂ's cause.
And, because it was done in the cause of God/Bush, Rush, Sean, et al have been surprisingly silent about it. Anyone think that would have been the case had people from the porn industry been invited to dinner when Bill Clinton was president?
As I have written before, the true gods of the G.W. Bush and his entire family, not to mention Dick Cheney are money and power. And they will dine with whoever will provide them with the money that provides them access to achieving that power. Not, as Jesus did, to help the sinner, but to use the sinner to further their own goals.
