President Obama makes the case for widely-supported common sense gun control. He will use executive authority to enforce existing laws, increase staffing to monitor sales of guns, and recognize that no rights are absolute (though not that the 2nd Amendment has been reinterpreted in ways contrary to how it was interpreted for most of the country's history).
It's not going to end gun violence, but it may slow it down, unless these actions are over-turned, as every Republican presidential candidate has vowed to do.
