What good does attending a protest do?
I have to do something.
And this gives me something to do with this little "issue" I have developed.
My not going to let it go this time and just slip back into social oblivion "issue".
But there it is...it just keeps popping into my consciousness and I get mad all over again. "Who in the hell do they think they are?"
Guess the whole "Yes We Can" Obama thing got something started. Too bad so many who voted for progress with one hand tried to shove us back in the closet with the other. No. Not going to work that way this time.
Seems a lot of us Gay folk are just about fed up with being told who we can and can't marry.
This time it's different for a lot of folks because people from outside the Gay community are getting into the fight on our behalf. They recognize the hypocrisy as the same hypocrisy that has said "no you can't" to women and people of color. We welcome them and applaud their courage to stand with us against hate and prejudice.
Can you hear it LDS, Focus On The Family, Family Research Council and the rest?
Oh, yes...I think you can.
That is the sound of unity and purpose gathering to fight you.
