Rocket Attack on Israel's Northern Border Terrorists in southern Lebanon fired three Katyusha rockets into northern Israel on Thursday morning (Jan. 8). One of the rockets hit a retirement home narrowly missing the dining hall where the residents were eating breakfast. One resident sustained a broken leg and others suffered from light injuries and shock. [1] The Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah denied responsibility for the attack. According to Israeli military sources, the rockets were most likely fired by a Palestinian group operating in southern Lebanon. In 2006, Hezbollah staged a cross border attack into Israel, abducted two Israeli soldiers and killed another eight. This action sparked the month-long Second Lebanon War in the summer of 2006.
