International law is clear and unequivocal. Nations may not interfere in the internal affairs of others except in self-defense if attacked.
They may not sanction other nations, what Security Council members alone may do legally.
Failure to uphold these principles are flagrant UN Charter breaches what the US, NATO, Israel, and their imperial partners do time and again with impunity, part of their war on humanity.
Hardline Baltic states Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia operate as US imperial tools, taking orders from Washington on geopolitical issues, saluting and obeying.
On Monday, their ruling regimes imposed illegal sanctions on Belarus.
President Lukashenko and other Belarusian officials were banned from entering their territory based on the phony accusation of rigging his reelection.
He won overwhelmingly. In response, his government expressed "sincere disappointment," saying it'll retaliate against unacceptable "hasty steps."
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova (MZ below) slammed the move, saying:
"Bravo! Now Minsk gets bulletproof evidence of Western interference in Belarusian domestic affairs."
Separately, she criticized EU foreign ministers for not following through on their stated intention to "reflect more deeply on EU relations with Russia" by not discussing this issue among themselves, adding:
"Brussels again missed an opportunity to make Russian-EU relations more healthy and constructive."
"It is obvious that the atmosphere of these relations in the foreseeable future will continue to be based on five principles, which have been formulated as the lowest common denominator of the EU countries' diverging positions and which many EU members regard as obsolete."
Instead of upholding their sovereign independence by acting in their own interest, they bow to imperial USA most often on issues regarding Russia, a reliable ally they fail to bond with.
Moscow is ready for constructive dialogue, "but only on an equal, mutually beneficial and non-discriminatory basis."
Regarding Belarus and Lukashenko's legitimate reelection, Brussels allied with the Trump regime's aim to illegally replace him with pro-Western puppet rule by "opt(ing) for illegal unilateral sanctions" and allying with US-controlled elements in the country.
Unacceptable actions by EU states "violat(e) the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states set out in the Helsinki Final Act" and UN Charter.
Sergey Lavrov said Western states aren't ready to accept a system based on cooperative relations with the world community of nations, adding:
"I view the attempts to ignore this reality and the attempts to prevent the formation of such relations that would fully respect these new achievements of many countries as short-sighted and dangerous."
"Western (regimes) have been setting the tone in world affairs for almost half a millennium, controll(ing) econom(ies) through colonial conquests"and removal of (their) natural resources."
"Over these 500 years, a lot has happened, but even after the colonial system collapsed, the relationship between mentor and mentee, master and assistant, still has a significant impact on the mentality of Western politicians."
Lavrov called for non-intrusive dialogue to resolve things in Belarus, stressing the following:
"We believe that there is no need for any intrusive mediation services."
"We will be guided by international law, the obligations that exist between us and the Republic of Belarus."
"We want the Belarusians themselves to be given an opportunity to solve their problems without any interference from outside."
He slammed illegal meddling in Belarus' internal affairs by the West and neighboring states.
He criticized US designated puppet Svetlana Tikhanovskaya for "using undemocratic methods that do not show respect for the sovereignty of Belarus."
It's for Belarusians alone to decide on their government free from foreign meddling as mandated by international law.
