The left desperately needs knowledge Management to archive closed agency and organization information and knowledge
The left must urgently develop a knowledge Management plan to address all the institutions, organizations and agencies that the Trump administration and Elon Musk's DOGE are closing.
The idea of knowledge Management is that organizations and institutions have people who have deep knowledge of how things work, how things are done and who does things and who the organizations work with externally.
If an organization loses a key employee who's been there a long time and who holds a massive amount of knowledge about how things are done and who does them and where things are sourced and where things are sent etc, then it is essential that knowledge Management approaches are used to collect and retain the knowledge that that departing employee possesses.
This situation is even worse for agencies and organizations that are totally being shut down. Their websites are being erased. Their records are being destroyed. If the left has any hopes of reconstituting and reactivating and recreating these agencies and organizations, then they must do everything they can using knowledge Management to tame the information.
I don't think this is something that the Democrats in the House or sSenate will be able to do, at least while they are in the minority in both houses. So this must be done independently by outsiders.
And it must start yesterday. Already, major parts of agencies have been demolished and erased. The good news is that there are a lot of employees who have that knowledge, who can be hired to help create the information and records that will be needed to recreate these agencies and organizations. Clearly this will take money and organization.
I've been writing about how the Left needs to produce and create a counterpart to the right's think tank and policy advocacy and implementation infrastructure. It may be possible for some of the existing left-wing think tanks to take on some of these chores, but I don't think they can handle the whole job that will be necessary. So this may be a good opportunity for the left to begin creating counterparts to the right's think tank/policy advocacy infrastructure.

more detailed bio:
Rob Kall has spent his adult life as an awakener and empowerer-- first in the field of biofeedback, inventing products, developing software and a music recording label, MuPsych, within the company he founded in 1978-- Futurehealth, and founding, organizing and running 3 conferences: Winter Brain, on Neurofeedback and consciousness, Optimal Functioning and Positive Psychology (a pioneer in the field of Positive Psychology, first presenting workshops on it in 1985) and Storycon Summit Meeting on the Art Science and Application of Story-- each the first of their kind. Then, when he found the process of raising people's consciousness and empowering them to take more control of their lives one person at a time was too slow, he founded Opednews.com-- which has been the top search result on Google for the terms liberal news and progressive opinion for several years. Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big) to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.) Recent long-term projects include a book, Bottom-up-- The Connection Revolution, debillionairizing the planet and the Psychopathy Defense and Optimization Project.
