Rough interview notes-- mostly the questions I asked. (a transcript will be available soon.)

It feels like Groundhog Day--

What about activism-- things we can do"

If we thought we had an anti war movement, we were wrong. We had an anti--republican war movement.

"For the last year we've been describing Barack Obama as the more effective evil."

I just thought of Moonshine-- vs Obama.

An Opednews poll found that 85% predicted, if Obama won a second term, that he'd move further to the right. What do you think?

What are you working on for bringing about change.

Bad prognosis for any progressive movement in the US

Capitalism is in deep crisis.

US Imperialism is in deep crisis-- the military structure that guards lords of capital today.

What is causing Imperialism to be in crisis?

We now have the rule of a class that creates nothing, that manipulates markets, inhibits growth-- they can't compete. So we see the rise of the BRIC nations.

Why is US soft power shrinking?

How is Capitalism in Crisis?

What do you call this new economic reality?

This

Now, in Africa, China is kicking the USA's butt in terms of locking up resources.

Isn't Libya a good example of the USA trade negotiations.

Talk about Israel, the US and Saudi Arabia and the Arab Spring?

In this renewed alliance with the Salafists-- the Muslim fundamentalists in the Arab world-- the US had to strengthen its ties with those elements and their backers in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

How does the USA foment terrorism within the Arab World.

Alawhite Shiaism in Syria.

"There was no salafist Jihadi network until the US, Pakistan and the Saudis created it about 30 years ago."

What was the blowback--

911, Al Qaeda

You're saying that the US and Saudi Arabia are taking their old approach of using fundamentalist Muslims, like they did with Al Qaeda 30 years ago, to approach the Arab Spring?

You've described Susan Rice as one of the most bellicose, bomb-at-the-drop-of-a-hat, Africa-bashing professional servants of power in Washington" madwoman, demanding blockades and air

strikes against Sudan, invasion of Somalia, embargoes on little Eritrea,

and regime change in Libya"." Seems like, if she was a Republican, McCain would love her.

"She's the meanest dog in town, rabid."

Do you think she has a chance at replacing Hillary?

That makes me think of Clarence Thomas.

Can you summarize some of the key points where you disagree with Dr. Michael Dyson?

Bottom up transition from Top Down.

Occupy Wall Street?

What do you think of the future of Occupy for making change?

What about activism and making change happen?

Involved in UNAC and Black is Back Coalition

You recently attended a conversation with Ahmadinejead.

Do you see any positive possibilities that could come out of Obama's leadership-- or soft spots where Obama may actually respond to pressure?

Can you talk about the Black is Back Coalition?

Something happened in Egypt with President Morsi. What's your take on what's happened there?

It looks like Morsi is trying to grab even more power than Mubarak had.

Israel, Gaza-- Barak's retirement, Hamas victory with truce,

What about the shift of funding of Hamas from Iran to Qatar, from Shia to Salafi funding.

You might say that Israel's assault on Gaza was a bad strategic move for Israel and the US.

Do you see anywhere in Israel and it's neighbors the possibility for peace and balance?
