Pluto in Capricorn, along with the North Node, squares or challenges both the Sun and Moon. Whatever we feel, think or are inspired to become, we have to let our old perceptions of life die so something new can be born. When we embark on a new journey, we need to let go of our old crutches. Patriarchy is an old crutch we really don't need anymore. We no longer need our "fathers' to decide for us. It is time to build a culture and a world where it is the mature couple, the soul partners, who create a culture that fulfills our need for "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.' It is the archetypal male and female who must set the new agenda.
The fact that this full Moon energizes the Autumn Equinox will keep the energies of balance with us through at least September 30th, when the Sun conjuncts Saturn at 8* Libra. The Sabian symbol for 8*Libra is: A fireplace blazes mysteriously in a deserted farmhouse. This is a symbol of hope, of the fires of life that are still with us even when we feel life has deserted us.
While we are called to live out our truth, we are also reminded that partnership is the next step for us. Once we learn how to live with ourselves, we are challenged to become great than ourselves by engaging in real partnership. Please accept the challenge and the rewards of these times. You'll be glad you did.
