There's a lunar eclipse this week in the zodiacal signs of Sagittarius (the Moon) and Gemini (the Sun). Coming days after the 3rd square between revolutionary Uranus in Aries and transformative Pluto in Capricorn, it could boggle the mind and shake up dusty mental structures.

This Full Moon energy can bring up old feelings and memories dealing with the experience of being taught to separate and categorize people, things and events without really knowing ourselves what that thing was.   We accepted the category when we were too young to logically examine it, and perhaps we never got back to re-think it.   This eclipse on the axis of the lower mind and the higher Mind focuses our attention on how we think and what we believe.   The cosmic gift of this eclipse is that the higher Mind offers us an opportunity to release outworn ideas and beliefs that no longer serve our life. Let them go with gratitude, for they got you here.   But now we need to know our Truth, walk our Truth and live our Truth.   It's time to replace the old categories of knowledge with new ideas and new perceptions based on our awakened consciousness.

Think of all the labels we've been taught to put on people and things.   Did we label them that way because we've had the experience of who or what they are, or were we taught a stereotype of who society says they are?   Or perhaps you believe in your labels because of your ideals and your values. Either way, it never hurts to dust off our beliefs and look at our way of thinking about things.   It's important at this time to work consciously and conscientiously with our beliefs and our thoughts, since they create our reality.   This lunar eclipse energy can help us become aware of behavior patterns based on faulty thinking and beliefs, so we can release old emotional body wounds we've continued to inflict on ourselves.

Try this: step back from your habitual way of thinking about something in your life, and examine the way you think about it.   Then ask yourself, "Is this my real feeling about this or is it what I've been taught to think?' Sometimes when we think we're doing something helpful, it doesn't turn out that way.   Usually it's because we're doing what we think we should do, rather than doing what our gut is telling us to do.   When they take opposite stands, follow your gut!

If you've united your head, heart and gut already, bravo!   You've graduated from the Wisdom School of Life.   Now you're a journey woman/man and your job is to go out into the world, offer your services and hone your skills, and learn to bring Wisdom into your life experiences.     If you're still in the process of becoming whole, just remember that it's really harder to look to the unknown than it is to stay with patriarchy's old story of work, acquisition and relationships. It's always 3-steps forward and 2-steps back in the beginning, and then it gets easier as you choose those new beliefs that spring from your individual truth.   As Jesus said, "The Truth shall set you free.'

When we finally figure out what we believe and think about Life and Death, about our personal life as well as other people's; about the Earth--is she truly our Mother or just there for our use?; about our society and what's happening to our institutions etc.; about our sexuality and it's freedom--then we can release the old shadows that have haunted us into living an unfulfilled life.   When we release these old energetic patterns, we have new energy to use for new growth.

There's a square from Neptune in Pisces to this Full Moon eclipse, and so we know who will come into this newly cleared-out space in our emotional body first!   The Lord of the Oceans, the power of the Collective Unconscious!   So watch your daydreams, your night dreams and your intuitive hits--they're Neptune's songs to you.   If you stop believing in a way of thinking, taught to you by your schools and your parents, that there's no such thing as being "psychic' then you will begin to finally listen when you're instincts and your intuition talk to you!   If you refuse to believe in a possibility that you've never tested, how shut down are you?   If you are afraid to leave your left-brain, logical world, how will you see the glorious possibilities that the Imagination holds for you?

Neptune in his own home of Pisces can be overwhelming--think of the power of the oceans, the mystery of the ocean's depths, the beauty of the ocean's inhabitants, the "otherness' of a watery world that borders ours, the vastness and directionless-ness of it.   Neptune is a symbol of the realm of the Collective Unconscious, which is accessed through the Imagination.   So imagination plays a big part in re-arranging your mind.   Both Neptune and the imagination can enchant us and delude us as well as give us insight into co-creation.   Saturn helps out here in a building trine to Neptune (exact July 19), offering us the energy of discipline and focus to access the deep unconscious instead of having to "fish around' for what we need.   Saturn in Scorpio, (retrograde until July 7/8), is turning our attention to unfinished emotional business and sticking our nose in it to get our attention.

Along with Mars (enters Cancer on July 13), Neptune (turns retrograde on June 7th), Saturn and Jupiter (enters Cancer on June 25) will create a deep, watery womb to heal and nourish the results of this week's Uranus/Pluto square. On July 17th, Mars and Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio & Neptune in Pisces form a grand trine. This 4-planet grand trine can bring us the healing and wisdom we need to live out our destiny.   Jupiter's expansiveness and Neptune's imagination, coupled with Saturn's sense of order, offer us ways to make our dreams a reality, showing us the tools and opportunities we need to make them grow.     So pay attention this summer for synchronicities and chance meetings.       Mars joins the big planets and lends his energy and passion to making sure we work for our hopes and dreams.   Become more resourceful as you transform your life this summer.

At this eclipsed Full Moon, the energies of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in Gemini blend to help us unite head and heart, logic and intuition, thinking and feeling.   Mercury is the archetypal energy which "rules' Gemini, while Jupiter "rules' Sagittarius and Venus is "exalted' in Pisces.   So the three energies that enhance this Full Moon T-square (opposition and square) are united, working together to offer us the best possible outcome.   Jupiter conjoins Mercury on May 27th, Venus on May 28th and the Sun on June 19th in Gemini, opening these energies to cosmic consciousness, while Neptune exactly squares the Gemini Sun on May 26th, getting us out of our heads and into our imaginations.

The Lunar Eclipse occurs on May 24, 2013 at 9:26pm PDT / on May 25 at 12:26am EDT/ May 25 at 4:26am GMT.

The Sabian symbol for the Sun at 5* Gemini is: A revolutionary magazine asking for action.   This symbol urges us to reach beyond established forms of thinking and consciousness.   What better symbol to express the need to let go of our old story so we can perceive the new one.

The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 5* Sagittarius is: An old owl sits alone on the branch of a large tree.   Owls often symbolize wisdom because owls can see in the dark.   Everything that is unconscious, mysterious and hidden can finally be seen when we call on owl to help us.   Lunar eclipses offer us the chance to release old emotional patterns.   Once we look at our shadow, and face our fears, the dark will offer us its hidden gifts.   These will help us let go of the old story.

The Sabian symbol for Neptune at 6* Pisces is: A parade of army officers in full dress.   While this image may feel foreign to many of us now, it is an image of group responsibility to protect and defend life.   Imagine that we are the warriors and our people will celebrate our victories over the oppressions we face.
