This full Moon falls very close to where the Pleiades, the Seven Sisters, shine in the night sky.   The constellation of the Pleiades is part of every culture's mythology, and many stories regard the Pleiades as the place where our ancestors came from.   Although we now know that the stars of the Pleiades are younger than our own Sun, there is a symbolic truth in this belief because our solar system revolves around the central Sun of the Pleiades system, Alcyone.   The Pleiades is also referred to as the Crown Chakra of the Milky Way galaxy, with the center of our galaxy forming the Root Chakra; the Pleiades are also located at a point of intersection between the galactic and super-galactic planes.   Many people believe that we are now coming to the end of the 26,000-year Great Year and so the death and rebirth we are experiencing is not only societal but galactic.   We are at the beginning of a new Cosmic Year and like all births we have to go through the labor of giving birth.   How much pain we experience is up to us and our choices.

This full Moon is a good time to become aware of what we hold most dear.   What will we do to protect it?   If we hold our families dear, it's time to share your wisdom with them if they need it.   If you honor and cherish the Earth, do whatever you can to protect and defend it.   We have to change the way we live.   Our consumer lifestyle is not sustainable, and yet the developing worlds want to emulate us.   If we really are concerned with protecting the Earth, we need to learn to live with less and move gently over the Earth our Mother.   It has to begin somewhere -" and since we recognize the urgency, we are the ones to do it.

The Sabian Symbol for the Moon at 30* Taurus is: A peacock parading on the terrace of an old castle.     Dane Rudhyar says this represents "the personal display of inherited gifts.'   We all have inherited gifts, whether from our family line or from our soul experiences.   We each come into this life with gifts as well as wounds.   We are all the flowering and fruition of our culture as well as our family.   We've spent years developing our gifts and talents.   Now it is time to share our gifts with our people and our culture.

The peacock is sacred to many gods and goddesses, but especially Venus, who rules Taurus.   Peacocks are associated with our standpoint, what we believe about life and love.   The eyes in peacock feathers symbolize vision and wisdom, wanting to take us deeper in our response to life.   A castle represents something "difficult to attain'.   It is the spiritual castle of St. Theresa, symbolizing manifesting the soul.   The peacock and castle symbolize the consummation of our individual efforts to grow our talents, know our worth and share our gifts.

Venus went retrograde on October 8th at 14* Scorpio, the degree of the Scorpio new Moon a few weeks ago, confirming the importance of the cosmic message to us :   Telephone linemen at work installing new connections .     Have we made those new connections?   I hope so.   If we take a stand on our beliefs and values, we communicate in ways that create peace within our own families, communities and nations.   We can do this with strength and love.   They are not mutually exclusive.

Also, the planet Venus just turned to direct motion, becoming a Morning Star in the process of descending to the Underworld of Scorpio.   Venus turned direct on November 18th at 28* Libra:   A Man becoming aware of spiritual forces surrounding and assisting him.     At first I was going to change "man' to "person', but then I realized that the image being a man is the point.   First, sorry men J , but in general in my experience, men have a much harder time accepting the invisible, the spiritual, the intuitive than women do.   We've all been waiting for you to join us in our beliefs.   Welcome home!   Also, the man in the image symbolizes our action-oriented, outgoing side.   Venus wants us to see that when our actions are based on our values and beliefs, we are helped and sustained by spirit.

The Scorpio Sun shines its light on this Taurus Moon.   In Scorpio, we have to walk willingly into the wide open arms of death like Harry did, like Jesus did, like Inanna did.   What have we learned this Scorpio month?   What old feelings have we released? Scorpio has to face the old dead feelings that linger and hold us in a strange "living death'.   When we say that Scorpio is concerned with Death and what lies beyond it, we mean to explore the idea of our future without having to carry the past with us.   Can we transmute our inner demons, our fears, our resentments that lie in the Shadow so that we're released from their unconscious hold?

The very last degree of a sign asks of us complete the task of that sign.   Scorpio transforms old, stuck feelings and energies to free us to have a larger, spiritual vision of the future.   The Sabian symbol for the Sun at 30* Scorpio is:   Children in Halloween costumes indulge in various pranks.      This image shows us how to release those inner demons that haunt us by giving them playful outlets and by consciously stepping into the complex (the Halloween costume = an attitude) so we can name them and channel their energies.   We dress up on Halloween to take on an alternative persona and let ourselves "act out' those energies which we usually repress or are unconscious we own.   A conscious connection to our feeling life helps us release stuck emotions with great ease.

This full Moon squares the Neptune/Chiron conjunction in Aquarius, challenging us to take into consideration a new vision that is inclusive and not so self-serving.   How can we incarnate a new global vision of peace and sustainability if we don't take responsibility to make it happen through our unique vision and talents?   This full Moon also makes positive aspects to Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces, giving us faith to hold a compassionate and spiritual vision of the future in the midst of uncertainty and insecurity.

Saturn in Libra offers us disciplined and fair help through sextiling Mercury, Vesta and Mars in Sagittarius, so we can focus our minds on our purpose.   It all depends on opening ourselves to the deep cosmic laws of life, which are telling us that change is inevitable and that life runs smoother when we allow ourselves to go with the flow of change.

This powerful full Moon in Taurus and Scorpio asks us to check in with our desires and see if they resonate with our values and our self-worth.    Our love is what will change us and ground us.

Sting says it all:

Send your love into the future
Send your love into the distant dawn

Inside your mind is a relay station
A mission probe into the unknowing
We send a seed to a distant future
Then we can watch the galaxies growing

This ain't no time for doubting your power
This ain't no time for hiding your care
You're climbing down from an ivory tower
You've got a stake in the world we ought to share

Send Your Love Into The Future
