For one thing, to do anything untoward towards Iran's leader would give George Bush more ammunition for his anti-Iranian arsenal. Plus, we certainly don't need another tasering event like the one that occurred in Florida.
He and his right wing spinners will say something like, well Ahmadinejad must be a bad guy, even the kids don't like him, or something equally silly. At any rate, they'll figure out a way to blame the victim for being attacked.
Attacking Ahmadinejad would be pure folly and many innocent people could be hurt.
The university's officials may be very well-intentioned by inviting Ahmadinejad to tell his side of the story in a fair and open discussion, but if he is attacked either physically or verbally...discussion over...and nobody has learned anything except how to stop free speech.
