A new book entitled, THE GREAT OIL CONSPIRACY -- How the U.S. Government Hid the Nazi Discovery of Abiotic Oil from the American People, by Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D., Harvard, just came out.
This book makes a pretty good case for theory that oil is NOT a "fossil fuel," but produced deep in the Earth's mantle in an "abiotic" process that's renewable, if not unlimited.
As some of you know, I have been a proponent of the "fossil fuel," "peak oil" theory for many years. Dr. Corsi's book is causing me to take a second look at this issue. See click here.
It is now known that, under Operation Paperclip, the U.S. government brought hundreds of Nazi scientists and scientific papers to America after WW II. Among the papers were notes on what's known as the "Fischer-Tropsch Process" -- a series of equations developed by two German chemists, Franz Fischer and Hans Tropsch. These equations defined a methodology for producing synthetic gasoline and diesel fuel from soft coal. Research and development of this process was done under the auspices of the famous German industrial giant, I.G. Farben, in fascist partnership with the Nazi Government and later partners with John D. Rockefeller's, Standard Oil of New Jersey, as fully explicated in WORLD WITHOUT CANCER by G. Edward Griffin.
Amazingly, the scientific literature written by petro-geologists and petro-chemists lacks any rigorous laboratory demonstrations that show how hydrocarbons, let alone oil, can be synthesized from flora or protoplasm. No such demonstrations exist showing exactly how rock in the Earth's crust turn "kerogen" (the supposed pre-curser to oil) into hydrocarbons, let alone petroleum. One would think, as I did, that surely there exists a precise formula for transforming kerogen into "fossil fuels" and that this process can be replicated in the lab. But no such formula exists and no such demonstrations have ever been done, according to Dr. Corsi.
On the other hand, it HAS been demonstrated how hydrocarbons, starting with methane, can be synthesized out of iron oxide, calcium carbonate, and water at temperatures and pressures of 500C and 11 gigapascals, respectively. The principles that guided these experiments, performed by Henry Scott of South Bend and Dudley Herschback a Harvard, Nobel-winning research professor, were informed and guided by the Fischer-Tropsch Process.
In short, not only did the Nazis figure out how to make oil and gasoline, they reverse-engineered oil and figured out exactly how to make it without any plant or animal biomass being involved.
If this is true, that oil is generated in the Eath's mantle abiotically -- without dependence on the limited amount of decayed plants and animals -- we will NEVER run out of oil. This means the entire meme of "peak oil" and the "energy descent" is a crock of horseshit designed to make the world think that oil and gasoline are scarce so tax-seeking governments and profit-seeking oil corporations can rape and pillage us all with $4 per-gallon prices, when oil is really only worth perhaps 1 penny per gallon.
One thing good about this short book is Corsi directly rebuts Matthew R. Simmons's book TWILIGHT IN THE DESERT as well as the work of M. King Hubbard, Thomas Malthus, and the famous 1972 MIT study entitled The Limits to Growth. All this particularly irritates me because I relied on the Simmons book, as well as some of his "original research" into the raw data about the Saudi oil fields that has never been previously published.
