It looks like Bill Moyers will be returning to PBS to do a new half hour show called, Something Different. That's what the NY Times is reporting on its Media Decoder blog.
Apparently, the Carnegie Corporation website first reported this-- that it would fund  $2 million for a 29 month run of a weekly half hour show  hosted by Moyers.
Moyers went into retirement a second time last year.
The NY Times article reported,
Mr. Moyers, in an e-mail statement, confirmed that his company has been discussing a potential weekly series, as well as other projects, and said he was pleased that the Carnegie Corporation had offered the first grant. "But," he added, the announcement "is premature because we are in conversations with other funders which take time to conclude. We have discussed various possibilities with PBS as one potential source of distribution, but have no idea about a possible airdate, if in fact we proceed."
Moyers past shows have been favorites among liberals and progressives and his brand of journalism and interviewing is one respected throughout the mediasphere.
Here's the video of his confirmation that he was leaving last year.
