On February 13, 2012 NH citizens met with Deputy Secretary of State David Scanlan and other election officials to talk about the Diebold computerized voting system approved for use in New Hampshire, which conceals the vote count from public oversight.
Mr. Scanlan, who consistently uses his position and the power of the office of the NH Department of State to actively promote legislation and policy that protects the interests of Diebold Corporation, and threatens the interests of NH citizens fighting for open vote counts, began the evening decrying an action alert calling him a "Diebold shill."
Mr. Scanlan further complained about the use of internet videos which, in his view, have been edited to distort his image. He issued a warning that citizens allegedly employing these "tactics" as well as "going off" on what he calls "tangents about conspiracy theories" will not be believed by those in positions of power. Thanks for the tip, Mr. Scanlan.
But our posted videos have not been edited to distort the truth, and those in positions of power who refuse to look at the truth will continue to be exposed.
We have and will continue to try to work directly with those in power. And while we wait patiently for their cooperation, we're taking it directly to the people.
