The Arrogance of Survival

Palestinians believe the Russians and Americans are dumb

Just after the Hamas attacked Israel,  the right wing Avigdor Leiberman's party won 15 [of 120] seats in the Knesset. [If the Palestinians wanted a softer line, they shouldn't have caused hostilities. This bit of logic escapes anyone who has never lived in a democracy.] Leiberman appeals to Russian immigrants who know the character of Muslims from Afghanistan and Chechnya. Leiberman speaks for about 300,000 Israelis mostly former Russians.

The Americans are fighting two wars in Asia during which they have killed, maimed or displaced five millions Muslims. Yet, the Palestinians expect the USA to side with them against Israel.

The Palestinians must believe the Russians and the Americans are really dumb.

Whoever in the world gives you these ideas?

After losing three preemptive wars, the Americans still base their foreign policy on military might. They have killed 7.2 millions Asians. All of us pray the Americans will rebuke violence
June 1967 saw the incredible Israeli victory against all odds. We hoped then the Muslims would recognize the futility of war and the self-destructive nature of hatred. Like the Americans, the Muslims continued their marriage with hostility.
Israelis after 1967 realize the Muslims are unlikely to broker a lasting peace. Maybe the decline in oil revenues will cut down the expenditures for violence.
When will Americans stop projecting their evil intent on Israelis?

You Equate the Jewish Will to Survive with Arrogance

Few Americans consider their victims as human beings. They are amazed when Hispanics demonstrate for their human rights. They are angry at Guantanamo prisoners who object to being tortured. They are upset by Asians who remind them of their rape of the continent.
Americans believe they can run amok all over the world without penalty. As we speak, the Taliban infiltrate the Punjab the home of the Pakistan nuclear arsenal.
Pakistanis, Afghans and Taliban agree that the US is an unwelcome invader.
People of color are capable of bringing 44 suitcase A-bombs to as many US cities. Can you understand why they may be inspired to do this? Maybe, they consider the violent USA as a threat to their survival. This is not arrogance; it is common sense.
