It is hard to find a country in the world whose leader disarms the civilian population and orders his military forces to withdraw without defending them at the height of hostilities in a brutal war waged on them by terrorists. But this is exactly what has just happened in the autonomous region of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of Iraq. Several days ago, as Commander in Chief of Kurdistan's military forces, KRG President Massoud Barzani ordered his military forces known as Peshmerga and the local police force to withdraw from the Yazidi Kurdish region without putting up a fight against the Islamic terrorist organization's forces of ISIS, based in Iraq and Syria.

According to ISIS' interpretation of Islamic laws, the killing of non-Muslim men and the abduction of their women to be used as sex slaves is allowed. Well aware of those laws, President Barzani went ahead and ordered his military forces to withdraw without a single shot in defence of the population or even attempting to rescue them from the violent fighters threatening to take their lives or abuse them.

There are about one million people living around Mosul, Iraq, most of whom are Yazidi Kurds from the Yazidi branch of the ancient Kurdish Zoroastrian religion, Shabak Kurds from branches of Shi'a Islam, Assyrian Christians and Shi'a Islamic Turkmen. All these people are currently enduring a genocide attack by ISIS forces without anyone in any Iraqi government taking responsibility for what has happened to them.

ISIS allowed its military forces to kill non-Muslim men from the above communities and take any women they wanted as sex slaves; one ISIS fighter took a seven year old Christian girl to be his wife, but she was rescued by Kurdish YPG People's Protection Units after they eliminated her 'husband'. Out of control members of ISIS fuelled by anarchistic so-called Islamic religious laws have created killing machines of military units, which thrive on the vicious slaughter of civilians and the abuse women.

Although Massoud Barzani is in control of 100,000 strong tribal men who are well paid from Kurdistan's oil money, the good relationship he has built with many Western leaders through his oil dealings has apparently relieved him of any responsibilities for the crimes against humanity that he has committed or permitted in that part of the world. Consequently, Kurdish people are now calling for his dismissal as President of the Kurdistan Regional Government and campaigning for his arrest and trial in The Hague for Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes in the KRG region, similar to the former Yugoslav President Slobodn Milosevic's trial for Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes allegedly committed in Kosovo.

The United States initially helped the Barzani and Talabani families to take over the government of the Kurdistan region of Iraq and is still protecting them from external forces and Kurdish people who want him dismissed as a leader of the region. Both families' political juggernauts have cheated in Kurdish Iraqi elections, a fact that the US Government knows very well, in spite of local democratic pretences. But now because of their connection with former US officials formed by long term oil deals that favoured them and Barzani and Talabani instead of the Kurdish people, they are being protected by the US Government. Further, Russian Security Services (KGB?) and the Department's anti-terrorism security apparatus Russian "PCP" reports reveal that Barzani has provided funds and other resources to ISIS and assisted with its training (1), and has thus aided a UN banned terrorist organisation.

As the leader of the free world President Obama must take responsibility for the policies and behaviour of the Kurdish puppet President his predecessor helped install in the KRG and answer the Kurdish people's call by arresting Massoud Barzani so he at last has to face a human rights court for his crimes against humanity.

Hamma Mirwaisi was exposed to the oppression of Kurds while still a youth, as his education was frequently interrupted by Iraqi government harassment. Forbidden from entering university in 1968, he had little choice but to join the peshmerga (more...)
