CABIN

Stormy grey sky reflects low afternoon sun

Distant trees soften to green broomsticks

As cold fog rolls in from the distant ridge

The cabin stands waiting with fresh snow

Glistening roof where sun shines through

Haven of warm comfort

In mountain solitude
