* refusing to prosecute those responsible for torture from the previous regime;

* hiring one of the prime torturers as an advisor on national security matters, then nominating him to head the CIA;

* claiming his right to order the assassination of anyone, anywhere, at any time, on his say-so;

* insisting on including in the current national defense budget act an effective repeal of habeas corpus and Posse Comitatus;

* prosecuting whistle blowers about torture, rather than the torturers themselves, and ensuring that military units guilty of crimes against humanity are protected;

* running the most secretive regime in U.S. history;

* deporting more undocumented immigrants, and consequently breaking up more families, than all previous presidents combined;
