Our Nations Lack of Vision and Leadership

As a our economy is collapsing at a very fast pace, we have to point out that our technology is falling behind, compared to other nations that never abandoned the desire of Development in Science and Technology. Our priority as a Developing Nation is concentrated in making money by investing or trading in Wall Street. From my point of view those practices are similar to gambling, and that's how we've been measuring success for decades. It is hard not to think that the Democratic Party has been dealt a bad hand, the Congress and Senate have run this country like a Casino as we just placed our latest bet of $150,000,000,000 on AIG.

We the people and our Government have to draw the line somewhere. After all, GM, Ford and Chrysler had plenty of opportunities to pursue different technologies to power their vehicles--and now those decisions are reflected in their almost collapse of automobile industry status.

The Government should not interfere. Let them go belly up. This would translate into new opportunities for investors who would take advantage of existing manufacturing plants. In other words, while the GM brand dies, a new brand will emerge with a better technological ideology, thus creating new opportunities for the workers and investors in America. When does a Corporation become too large to fail?  It is not up to our Government to bail them out. It is manifesting itself with "the bailout disease." Who's next, our Healthcare System?

The reality is that there is an imbalance on our Import/Export practices. We are not producing or inventing new technology and our economy is a reflection of our progress as a Nation. We've become a consumption society, not a productive one.

The fundamentals of our economy are corrupt, and we have our Republican Government's lack of vision to thank for it.

Arts, Science and Technology should be priority Number One of our everyday lives, with a common goal as a Nation to free ourselves from dependency on oil. We must emphasize Medical Research to find solutions to cure AIDS, cancer and other diseases. Our Government has failed to emphasized the importance in our society to pursue Artistic, Scientific and Technical Careers so we can have a more balanced and diverse society. It is important to mention that, selling Real State is not going to get us out of this economic crisis.

There are proven technologies out there that would be worth investing in like the Automobile Industry. Hybrids, Hydro, bio-fuels and natural gas engines to power our automobiles are the most common technologies we hear about. The only problem is that all of these technologies are based  on the "Combustion Engine"--a clear emphasis that the Automobile Technology is not on the right track. These new technologies, while reducing emissions, still pollute the environment.

On the other hand, Electromagnetic Engines do not require fuel, electrical recharging and do not pollute. Skeptics will argue that this Technology does not work and try to debunk it, in my opinion it has been kept from being developed by Corporations that have an investment in combustion engines and the fuels that power them. This proves that the slogan "Drill Baby Drill" at this point, is just absurd.

In other words, we haven't been paying attention and now we find ourselves with a big mountain to climb or a big hole to dig ourselves out of. It is imperative to close all the loopholes Corporations use to get tax breaks by setting PO Boxes in other Countries or ship jobs overseas to practice slavery on other Countries.

About our Healthcare System, "Doctors believe that patients are paying the price for frivolous lawsuits that are driving up the cost of Healthcare and negatively affecting the practice". Our Healthcare system does not work, the new Administration will have to take a good look at other Healthcare models like in Japan, England or Canada, with the risk of being labeled "Socialist", but that is not the issue, the idea is to implement practices that work, that are less expensive and for the interest of the American People. And last, we have to stop the War.

I've seen a lot of politicians in my time and Barack's ideology is above any recent politician, and we should recognize that Barack has inspired millions around this Country and all over the World.

"Inspiration leads to achievement and prosperity. Greed and corruption will lead this Nation to misery, if we're not there already". It is up to us to redesign the world we want to live in!!
