Presumably much to the chagrin of the fascist members of congress and faux journalists who attacked or questioned the reporting of the Snowden/NSA story as criminal, traitorous or even terrorist, the Pulitzer Prize has been awarded to those reporting organizations that broke and continued to tell the story-- the Pulitzer for Public Service.

You might consider it a big "f*ck you" to Barack Obama, the NSA, Joe Biden, John McCain, David Gregory, Shelby Chambliss and all the other right and left wing media, including those at MSNBC who kiss Democrat ass, who slandered and accused heroic journalists Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras,  Ewen MacAskill and Barton Gellman (also Polk Award winners) of being criminals, traitors, terrorists and the like.
Here's the announcement from Pulitzer:

For a distinguished example of meritorious public service by a newspaper or news site through the use of its journalistic resources, including the use of stories, editorials, cartoons, photographs, graphics, videos, databases, multimedia or interactive presentations or other visual material, a gold medal.

Awarded to The Washington Post for its revelation of widespread secret surveillance by the National Security Agency, marked by authoritative and insightful reports that helped the public understand how the disclosures fit into the larger framework of national security.

and

Awarded to The Guardian US for its revelation of widespread secret surveillance by the National Security Agency, helping through aggressive reporting to spark a debate about the relationship between the government and the public over issues of security and privacy.

Finalists

Also nominated as a finalist in this category was Newsday, Long Island, N.Y., for its use of in-depth reporting and digital tools to expose shootings, beatings and other concealed misconduct by some Long Island police officers, leading to the formation of a grand jury and an official review of police accountability.

And here's a link to the full list of Pulitzer Prize Winners and Nominees.
This is a sweet day for journalism and justices. Let's hope the highly unlikely happens and it causes Barack Obama, the worst enemy of the free press and worst attacker of whistleblowers in American history to reconsider.
