"England is in fact a financial oligarchy run by the "Crown" which refers to the "City of London" not the Queen. The City of London is run by the Bank of England, a private corporation. The square-mile-large City is a sovereign state located in the heart of greater London. As the 'Vatican of the financial world,' the City is not subject to British law. On the contrary, the bankers dictate to the British Parliament."
Henry Makow
"The colossal political and financial organization centered in this area, known as "The City," operates as a super-government of the world; and no incident occurs in any part of the world without its participation in some form.. This tiny area of a little over one square mile has in it the giant Bank of England, a privately owned institution; which is not subject to regulation by the British Parliament... has its own police force, and is in effect a sovereign world power."
E.C. Knuth, The Empire Of The City
As Harry Truman once said "there is nothing new in the world except the history you do not know." Clearly this applies to our common lack of understanding of banking history today, to our Colonial-era battles with England over banking powers, and to grasping the sheer private power of the debt-money tentacles upon our lives and societies.
Much like the fact that many in the USA still do not know that their own "Federal" Reserve is a privately owned central bank, so too the people of Great Britain and the world are largely unaware of the nature of "The City' -- i.e., a private fiefdom of international finance located in London but existing apart from any jurisdiction and power of the people.
Regardless of its unique location and sovereign status, its economic and political power over the last several centuries has been and remains immense.
In effect, as many insiders have warned us thru the years, our representation and democracy are but facades foisted upon the people by the real powers behind the scenes. As E.C. Knuth further relates, "how has it been possible to erect this Internationalistic structure of misrepresentation and deception in our midst and to protect it from exposure for nearly a century? Why have not our professors of history, our college presidents and educators, or our crusading newspapers exposed this monstrosity?" Why indeed?
In the Empire Of The City, E.C. Knuth answers the question. He relates "there are also some evident and very practical reasons. Our newspapers are absolutely dependent for their existence on the advertising of great business interests, and perhaps the principle function of college presidents is to collect the funds upon which the existence of their institutions depends, to be on the right terms with the right people. News that definitely points to the existence of the secret world super-government of "The City' is treated with dense silence. The current activities of what has been described as the most powerful international society on earth, the "Pilgrims,' are so wrapped in silence that few Americans know even of its existence since 1903."
For several hundred years the Banksters debt-money and interest generating cabal has controlled events, monetary, fiscal, domestic and foreign policy around the world. The same forces keep its existence and powers hidden from the people via the fact that the same major corporate forces that own the central banks also own and control the major media. This is a major reason why you never hear any discussion of a public central bank, or any treasury-direct low rate or interest-free infrastructure and home loan financing.
The private power to create money "out of thin air" enables this privileged caste to buy and own as much as they want of our corporations and resources. As lender to governments -- due to "our" politicians giving away constitutional money and credit powers to private bankers - we are forever saddled with borrowing at interest in order to use and create our own money!
We have no real idea of the wealth owned and controlled because "The City" and its members have thus far escaped scrutiny and audits of controlling shareholders. Until most recently, not since the days of Louis T. Mcfadden, former Chairman of The House Banking Committee from 1921-30, had there been any real effort to unmask and audit the activities of those who own "our" private central banks. In the midst of yet another era of greed, Wall Street scandals, economic and currency collapse, we still do not see or hear any corporate media discussion of the greatest issue of our time" the right of the people to restore their constitution money and credit creation privileges.
"Britain is the slave of an international financial bloc"
David Lloyd George
"There are on authentic record many instances where "The City' has acted not only without the consent of Parliament, but has acted in defiance of the wished of Parliament, and even in violation of its own solemn promises. From the "Laws of England' of the Earl of Halsbury it appears that "The City', exercising its power as the "King-in-Council' or "Crown' has control over both the legislative and executive function of the Empire, and as Britain has no written Constitution there is no court with any power to temper the actions of the "Crown.'"
J. Ramsey McDonald, Ex Prime Minister of Britain
While England is imprisoned by "the city" we here in America are also imprisoned by Washington D.C. -- which might was well be a sovereign state for all it does for private interests at the expense of the public interest and the concerns of the great majority. In effect, we have our own money-controlled, lobbyist-fed, "city" dedicated to preserving and expanding private power and denying any real democracy, particularly economic democracy.
