Who's worse, them that believe or them that don't?
Alan Grayson, in Rob Kall's interview, spoke of the one notable division in the Republican party: some of them actually believe the nonsense they're spewing, as in Michele Bachmann, and others don't, like Speaker Boehner.
Most of us carry a special outrage for those who support lies while knowing better, as the sinister but smart GOPers do. But there is something much more deeply disturbing about the insanity of the authentic fanatic, something that terrifies on an animal level, perhaps an instinctive survival response when faced with a lethal force that has no reason and no bounds.
When I saw her at the debate, I was viscerally shocked. Time and again she blew chances to make an idiot of herself; time and again she was concentrating, recalling all the responses she had memorized. Clearly she had really studied, really done her homework, had been very intensely coached. Gone was the madwoman eye-bulge she usually goes into after she says something. It was no longer obvious that she was Queen of Stepford. It was as if the foolish pursuit of Artificial Intelligence had suddenly, brilliantly succeeded and we were witnessing the first public test of the Ultimate Tool, dazzling in its perfection, heart-freezing in its implications. She has been Chosen by the God of Money and no expense will now be spared to make her look not only smart, but Human.
We actually have laws in this joke of a country prohibiting Sharia law. Where are the laws against rule by money, against corporate kingship? If corporations are people, they are surely the kings among us and over us, and they want us to know it.
I wish the Teabaggers would see the glaring sameness of these kings and King George. They're so proud of their Divine Constitution and their Sacred American Revolution, and I say good, now see that you are supporting a hundred King Georges: the money-mad banksters and their illegitimate offspring, the Corporate Frankensteins, allied in an Axis of Evil against the Constitution, and winning a revolution back to rule by pure power, using you fools as patsies and a zealous free labor force of bible beating brownshirts. Have any of you actually read what Jesus said about money loving, or do you just hook into the pulse of the wardrums beating around the circle of extremist pulpits pounding out O-ba-ma bad? Do you learn anything real or just do the King's bidding by watching the King's Fox and hearing the King's Rush? Do you realize that not only is Obama the King's man, but George wants you to hate him so you'll vote in an outright King's Champion? Meet Michele Bachmann.
Either way, King George wins. It'll just take a bit longer and be a little gentler with Obama.
