Wall Street gives America the one fingered salute

This will be short and sweet. Here are a few facts I just discovered.  I should have known this, but I stupidly did not.

Are you sitting down?

The US fiscal year ends  Tuesday Sept. 30th 2008. Read that again.

No matter what you have been told, the real reason Paulson got down on his knees in front of Pelosi is because he wanted this atrocious bill passed before the end of this fiscal year.

According to Henry Reid's remarks, the whores in the Senate are remaining on duty to make sure they get this passed. What he failed to tell you is it had to be passed before the end of the fiscal year, TUESDAY, and the final shot of King George the Insane at the  financial safety net of the American workers.  No wonder the heads of companies are still being given golden parachutes- they went along with and facilitated the charade.

Did the Senate remain on duty  when your homes went into foreclosure? Did they  work with gusto into the wee hours of the night  as your jobs were being sent off shore?

Where was the Senate when the price of gas hit $5 a gallon? Is the Senate working tirelessly to make sure the windfall profits of the oil companies are returned to you along with the revenue from penalties?

This is treason. Bush, Paulson, Bernake, Reid, Dodd, Franks.... all of them have lied to us, threatening to break the banks if we do not give them what they want in the time they want. They have brought us  to the door of disaster and ruin as surely as if they had flown planes into our neighborhood banks.

I saw a show on history channel about Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker. The only difference I can see between Barrow and the Senate is that Barrow had compassion for the common man. I see only lies and smirks from the faces of Washington and Wall Street

PS. While we were sleeping the Senate broke from their marathon ramrodding of the Wall Street bail out to pass a $1 trillion defense budget.
