Barbara Dunmore is the Riverside County, CA Registrar of Voters and has denied observers the right to view the counting of the ballots in the central tabulator room, refused to post precinct results at the precincts, refused to put up signs telling voters of the availability of paper ballots, and, with her predecessor, Mischelle Townsend, spent over $35 million on Sequoia equipment, all of which is currently in mothballs. On one occasion, when observers asked her to fan the ballots she was running through the scanner so we could see it was actual ballots she was running, she replied that she was not required to show us they were ballots.

Under the guise of an "apology" to Paul Jacobs, RivCo ROV Barbara Dunmore insults Paul by saying he looked like a "deer in the headlights" and she "apologizes if she startled him". Then says how open she is to any questions to avoid EI folks at BOS.
After refusing to allow anyone to view the counting of the votes or even showing observers that it is actual ballots being counted, and refusing to hand-count the paper ballots and post results at the precincts as required by law, and refusing to meet with the Election Observer Panel (EOP) except for a whopping 3 ½ minutes last October (yes, a full year ago!), she has the gall to state how open she is to questions from anyone, stating “I am a friendly person” and … well, you’ll see.
It is pathetic and demeaning and shows the REAL Barbara Dunmore, pandering to the Board of Supervisors while theatrically playing the role of an apologist for… well, again, you just need to view this…incredibly “touching” moment.
