Leading Democratic candidate Barack Obama has a message for nervous Jewish voters. He wants them to know that he stands totally committed to the State of Israel, her right to defend herself and that it's the Palestinians that are acting irresponsible.
He denounces all the Internet myths that try and align him with certain anti Semitic influences. He says he owes a debt to the Jewish participation in the civil rights fights of the 60s that made it possible for him to attain the heights of achievement he has. He wants to make sure that everybody knows that Barack Obama is a good Democrat and just as gung ho for helping Israel continue their Apartheid in the occupied territories as is Hillary Clinton.
I can't help but wonder with this little bugaboo out of the way if the leading candidate to be the Democrat nominee can finally find relief from the daily din of media reports of possible death threats? If now he can claim his leading delegate count as a legitimate claim to the nomination?
Perhaps now that AIPAC is satisfied the Democrats can go on and simply allow the mathematics of vote tallies and delegate pledges settle the nomination? Who knows, perhaps now both black and female factions of the Democratic Party can now unite behind a ticket that has both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on it in one order or the other.
Easing the Jewish block of the party might just be enough to settle this long, wearying and frankly, boring and increasingly irrelevant-to-the-American-People-at-large, nomination process.
The Bush "Road Map to Peace" plan for Israel and its concentration camps at large known as the Palestinian occupied territories, has failed to bring much improvement to this humanitarian quandary. Perhaps now with a Democratic victory in November, the USA can again go with a plan similar to the Bill Clinton plan he proffered in 1998 which caused Yasser Araphat to walk out of the peace process and precipitated the latest rounds of Intifada. We can only hope.
As it is Israel is just simply surrounded by nations and refugees that hate them. America needs to quell the misguided voices (e.g. Jimmy Carter, a Democrat no less) and reunite in perfect solidarity in our hatred of Islam and Arabs that not only want to erase Israel, that shining example of Democracy on a hill, but want to reach across an ocean and destroy our freedoms as well.
The Republicans don't seem to have such a problem with their unabashed pro Israeli rhetoric or uniting in their hatred of all things Islam. Well, once you squelch and squash Ron Paul anyway. The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist. Money and war profits are no concern.
