My good friend and colleague David Gewritz has just released a very timely book called Where Have All the Emails Gone? about the email scandals at the Bush White House. A former computer science professor and a highly regarded reporter, editor and technology consultant, Gewirtz digs deeply into the apparent loss of millions of potentially incriminating emails. Such losses would be in direct criminal violation of Federal law and constitute yet more impeachable offenses.
This is an outstanding job of investigative reporting and of providing answers, in advance, for all of the ridiculous excuses and hand-waving explanations the Bush Regime's spokespersons have attempted and will continue to attempt as they try to bamboozle their way out of yet another monumental scandal.
In fact, this one is a sort of meta-scandal in that it involves potential evidence that could be used to prove and prosecute many other scandals.
You can read more about the book and order it here. (Note, by way of caveat, that I am quoted on the back cover of the book but I receive absolutely no remuneration from David or anyone else for this recommendation or for any other effect I may have on book sales.)
