Happy Easter. Happy Passover.
But not for those who suffer our greed.
I know I'm not alone in finding the gargantuan amounts of political
monies raised obscene, that they'll keep on keeping on like kids in a supermarket-size candy store, because they can. A family of political vampires worship $ together to stay together. Stir into this caldron,
media; corporations, etc., you know the deal, and a piece of moldy cloth
that once represented a country with high ideals. Drink the Kool Aid.
.
Mass murder media clanging bells and whistles like pealing church bells when candidates' contributions increase early on, because money is the new religion. Wait ... Sodom and Gomorrrah have
nothing on 'The Homeland!'
.
I'm not religious in the sense of traditional religion, corporate
governance if you ask me, but I can't help thinking of the story of
Jesus throwing out the money changers in the Temple.
.
So Easter will be celebrated like other faux 'holidays,' deep-sixing
anything resembling piety, money, the graven image worshiped in its
place; and the collateral damaged whose numbers are kept secret so
Americans don't freak-out. People with hopes and wishes no different
than our own, have become expendable, an afterthought -- over there,
not here. Nice.
.
Can rituals be holy when life has so little value, when mass murder
becomes a means of having more? Is there a bunny and colored eggs
to add to the celebration of spring in this picture? Little chicks...
.
Speaking of chicks -- that's a whole other nightmare. Actually, no, its
all part of the same godforsaken greed, isn't it? Just about everything. Better watch what you eat during the 'holiday.'
.
Money changers rule. Happy Easter. Happy Passover, but not for
those who suffer our greed -- oop's.
