Bill O'Reilly loves to call his liberal critics and opponents bomb-throwers. The devil advocates for the underlying realpolitik rationale.
Dear Diary:
Finally I've figured out why Bill O'Reilly http://www.foxnews.com keeps on calling our liberal critics bomb-throwers. What a twisted genius he is. For the longest time I simply thought that he was resorting to vile name-calling as a red-herring to divert attention from his cowardice. But there is a Machiavellian malignancy in his rash rhetoric and hapless hype.
Let's commence by savoring how Bill taints his enemies as evil :
"Ann Coulter gets some media attention, but not nearly, not nearly what the far-left bomb-throwers get." (That's right, Bill. Ann Coulter doesn't get anywhere near the attention that even a non-bomb-throwing liberal like Noam Chomsky gets. Personally, I'm sick of seeing Chomsky, Media Matters and Greg Palast on every network everyday. Aren't they sick of the limelight by now? Don't they know how to share?)
"Thus, all the bomb-throwers who accuse Mr. Bush of lying about WMDs have been dishonorable. They were wrong and had no proof to begin with. They are guilty of a slander, a dishonorable act." (Touche with your tu quoque, Billy goat. Divert attention from our colleague W. by accusing the accusers of being even more guilty of the same crimes they allege against our boy. Attack the messenger that point outs that Bush had no proof and is guilty of slander and acting most dishonorably. )
"Moderate Democrats would be smart to tell their misguided brethren to knock it off. Just as Republicans are tainted by far-right militia groups and haters, so too are the Democrats damaged by the ridiculous antics of far-left bomb-throwers." (Excellent, Bill. As you have done before, associate the likes of Media Matters, a group that bends-over backwards to avoid ad-hominem attacks, with the likes of the Ku Klux Klan, David Koresh and Timothy McVeigh. That's the kind of diabolic prevarication I like to see my followers use to attack my enemies.)
"No doubt some far-left pundits have said far worse things than Ann Coulter will ever say and the mainstream media often celebrates them. But a no-spin rule is that you don't justify bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior." (And you said it with such a straight face, Bill, so sanctimoniously and without the slightest hint of self-questioning or sense of irony. Naturally, as has been long known by pundits and spin masters, lying is the most effective when done often, boldly and arrogantly. Works like a real charm. A potion that I personally guarantee will cast at least a temporary spell and often a longer one, especially on the one telling the lie.)
"You [Ann Coulter] basically are doing somewhat what the left wing bomb- throwers are doing. You demonize -" (Of course, diary, no leftist could ever come close to publically saying what Coulter and other conservatives say. Nor, needless to say, does any MSM celebrate extremist rhetoric from the left. Although the case is quite the contrary, Bill is to be commended for perpetuating the great lie with such enraged indignation.)
Dearest diary, Bill repeatedly associates leftists with bomb-throwers to whom his audience associates with Muslim terrorists. Although Muslim extremists are extremely conservative, American conservatives somehow think Muslim religious fundamentalists are liberals. After all, in their attempt at logic, a liberal is an enemy of America and Muslims are enemies of America and therefore liberals must be Muslims. Trust me, diary, this much of a syllogism is a major intellectual endeavor for many humans, especially those with whom God was conservative in giving IQ points.
Any time Bill wants to sully his liberal opponents, he acts as if they are no better than suicide bombers who kill civilians. In other words, Bill uses the old guilt by association trick out of the company manual on deception and demagoguery. Why confuse what the truth should be with useless facts of what actually is? There is no reason to discuss the message when it is simpler to kill the messenger.
Liberal is modern American for scapegoat. Sacrifice that tied goat. Make it pay for the nation's sins. Offer the blood and burnt smoke to God so that we might be forgiven for our sins and God grant us the power to smite our enemies. How do I love the deceits I have had humans perpetuate in the name of God!
Yet all that is but mere introductory level manipulation. Billzebub O'Riled is on fire as a master manipulator. Obviously he starts by painting his opponents as being so uncivilized and dangerous as not being safe enough to allow in his studio. Not even Ann Coulter can come close to matching the outrageous statements of liberal demagogues which are worshiped in the mainstream media. Look at even now how the MSM (which really stands for Mammon's Syndicated Media) adores Bill and Hillary Clinton. Nary a bad word does the MSM ever say about the Clintons.
Of course, I'm lying straight through my fangs. MSM is anything but biased toward liberal thought, especially that which asks whom does the MSM serve: Mammon or the larger Good.
That's why brother Bill is factually accurate in equating liberals with throwing bombs that could blast MSM straight to hell. Abandon the addled adage about words not hurting. Sticks and stones break bones because words told somebody to pick them up. People might get liberal ideas planted in their head and then one day some signal will ignite the ideas like delayed time-bombs. There might be a mass infection passed from mind to mind until there was a widespread epidemic of people using their brains to think for themselves. Hell forbid the public ever challenge my economic system!
Imagine the pure heaven that could break out if certain liberals were to get widespread exposure and start revealing the relationship between MSM and moi. For now, I need to remain a silent partner, albeit the sole controlling partner. It is not at all in my financial interests for my media enterprises to be challenged on naming their master, greed or the truth. Ergo, liberals who rationally challenge MSM are even more dangerous than bomb throwers. For what bomb throwers blast into oblivion can be rebuilt. But once truth tellers expose my lies, and especially my liars, I have to find new ones that are even more truth resistant. Lies are my germs and media liars my weapons of mass deception.
