Cindy Sheehan's vigil in Crawford has brought attention to George Bush and his war. But Let's not forget it has been the rubber stamp of his extreme right wing, hawk republicans in control of the house and senate who have given him the power to keep the troops there and the power to hand out tens of billions to Halliburton.

It is time now for every damned middle of the road Democrat to get behind a hue and cry to get our troops out of Iraq right away. Leave the Republicans foundering, supporting their liar in chief, still claiming it was such a wonderful thing to take out toothless Saddam, just another wealthy Islamist feeding money to terrorists. There must be thousands of them" as though we should be attacking them all. .

Nows the time for Democrats to throw out the wimpy, weasel DLC Republican look-alines and to make it clear that supporting the DLC is the route to failure, including Hillary. We need to discover GREAT, HEROIC leaders now.

The coming months offer great opportunity. It is also a time to raise the issue of verifiable voting""that our troops have fought for freedom and we won't let crooked voting machine companies who have been proven to break laws and lie control our vote counting.

It's a pleasure to watch as the lock-step, lying right wingers get uglier and uglier in their attempts to use their media power to attack Mothers of soldiers killed in action. Their words are despicable, but the fact that they are so desperate and awful is beaming across the land and people who have been lulled asleep are waking up.

Now we need to help wake them up. We need to work with families who have lost GIs in Iraq and help them see that the best way to honor their sons and daughters is to bring their compatriots home, now that we know their brave sacrifices were for lies told by Bush and his supporters.
