Bush scandals are so many-from Prescott Bush's claiming to be a WWI hero who had high honors conferred on him, to making up of a story of his courage to go along with his false claim-which he later admitted to; to his financing of Hitler's war machinery and his "trading with the enemy" status; to the backstabbing of his colleague and supposed friend Joe McCarthy via his manipulation of Eisenhower's hands by requesting that Eisenhower give a public pat on the back to another senator, other than Joe McCarthy, to his later boasting that McCarthy never knew that it was Prescott who really did him in; to...
Among others, Poppy's October Surprise against Jimmy Carter in l980 and his covert tainted hands in the Iran-Contra operation, to his, "in the loop/out of the loop" assertions; to his smoke-and-mirror-behind-the-scenes funding of Saddam Hussein's military might in the 1980s; to his smears of Michael Dukakis in 1988, to his malevolent attempts to destroy Bill Clinton in the l990s via the gossip chamber; to his purchasing of the oval office for his son George through an incredulously indebted to him Supreme Court which suppressed the counting of votes in 2000 and gave the oval office to junior; to...
Jeb's disenfranchisement of Florida voters in the year 2000 via police intimidation of black voters in Duval County, to the misaligned ballot in Palm Beach County, to the certification of Florida Votes by Florida's Secretary of State, Katherine Harris, before the final vote tally was in, to ...
And yes, this is a scandal too, to Poppy Bush parking his carcass together with his daughter, Doro, on a recent Larry King Show to, as the world burns and the Bush ship sinks, promote Doro's book, My Father, My President, a Personal Account of the Life of George H.W. Bush, yet another smoke and mirror, idealized version of themselves as good, all giving benefactors of the human race. Who do they think they are kidding?!
In this idealized version of themselves, Doro Koch has put together a book from seminal material gathered by a former aid to Poppy Bush during his presidential years for the eventual writing of a book by ... Doro?
Given the Bushes' penchant for contortions and distortions of facts and for presenting themselves as carbon copies of the Immaculate Conception, one has to wonder what the true nature of that aid's impulse to gather such material during Poppy's presidency for a later book writing really was; one also wonders what wrangling may have taken place behind the scenes prior to the birthing of this book by Doro?
On the Larry King Show, Doro gave no credit to the aid who gathered the material for the book, other than to say the idea for the book came from the aid who had gathered such material during Poppy's presidency for such a purpose.
Was the aid a person so disinterested in the possible profits of publishing such a book that he actually saved all that material to give to Doro for Doro's writing of the book? Did the aid have an emotional attachment to GHWB and was the aid, therefore, able to sacrifice whatever possible monetary benefits may have come his or her way from the writing of such a book?
Did Doro, who has no previous published work and, who, like her brother George has no gift of gab, write the book out of her own creative vein after reading the material gathered for her by Poppy's aid? Was she able to put the material into a publishable form out of her own creative thrust? Did someone ghost-write the book for her?
Or...
Was the book written already, for the most part, by said aid when the aid handed the material, over to Doro?
Or...
Did the material, possibly already in manuscript form fall into Bush's hands who then denied permission for publication of said book, like he has done with so many other authors writing books about his life, and did he then co-opt it for his daughter Doro? Or could he have objected to so many passages in the book, and demand that they be taken out of the book so that it became meaningless to the aid to write the book?
I pose these questions because during the Larry King interview neither Doro nor her father acknowledged the name of this faithful aid who had labored to preserve the material related to George Herbert Walker Bush's presidency for posterity.
