Restorative Justice with stranger or acquaintance victims, different angles apply. I am going to highlight 3 major angles to consider when pre-conferencing victims in stranger or acquaintance situations of restorative justice. The focus of this blog post is specific to victims since restorative justice is victim initiated. The three considerations are outcomes, relationship context and flexibility.

Using Restorative Justice Circles to heal from suicide. When people share stories and talk about suicide in Restorative Response Circles, there is a deepness. For those immediately and directly impacted, they share a common loss. There is a phrase that "healing happens closest to the wound". When people who have been wounded by suicide share with each other, they are able to be closer, because they know that wound.
