Douglas Jay Sprung, MD, FACG, FACP, is the medical director at the Rice Diet of Central Florida. He is a board-certified internist and gastroenterologist who trained at Duke University School of Medicine and studied with Dr. Walter Kempner, the originator of the Duke Rice Diet, then and during his subsequent residency training at Duke.
